The movement has he raw-movement-No. 8093 of Kullberg
(The most chronometer-movements were bought from Ericsson by Kullberg)

August Ericsson was born in 1842 in Kristeneham in Sweden.
After his education as watchmaker he came to St. Petersburg in 1865.
As Viktor Pihl died in 1873, Ericsson took over the workshop of him. In 1885 he was the master of Chronometer-manufacturing and director of observatory in Pulkowa (near St. Petersburg) in 1889.
He is considered as the mostly significant chronometer-maker of his time (if not all) in Russia. Kullberg (from whom Ericsson obtained the chronometer-movement) dominated at the chronometer-competitions in England.
