This Tourbillon Model of Escapement was built by
Georg Trampenau after his school time in 1933 at
the Uhrmacherschule Glashütte
“Georg Trampenau completed his education to watchmaker
at the DeutscheUhrmacherschule Glashütte. He received
a commendation for particular hard work and good work performance
in pratical work. Trampenau became a district representative
in 1934 in the Association of German watchmaker (GDU) and
was the second secretary of the Berlin Watchmakers’ Association.
On behalf of the GDU, he took part as an examination master of
apprentice examinations of the Central Association of German Watchmakers e.V.
Georg Trampenau was originally based in Dlottowen (Dlutowo, Poland).
On June 3rd, 1938, Dlottowen was renamed in Fischborn (Ostpr.).
The number of residents in 1939 was 99. Trampenau was there already
based in Berlin. He was responsible for caring the watches in
Reichskanzlerpalais Berlin.”
